Time Block Settings

Adjust the number of Time Blocks required and configure each to match your schedule. Start and end times are required, and you can chose to display the time block number and/or the start time.

Import Time Blocks

Use the Import button to copy time block settings from any other Event within this Event Type. This is helpful when building or updating class schedules for multiple weeks of summer camp.

Time Blocks are used in combination with days of the week to build class schedules that automatically avoid scheduling conflicts so a group or participant doesn't book more than one class at the same time. Here is a sample Time Block configuration:

  Monday - M Tuesday - T Wednesday - W Thursday - R Friday - F
9:00 AM TB 1 TB 1 TB 1 TB 1 TB 1
10:00 AM TB 2 TB 2 TB 2 TB 2 TB 2
11:00 AM TB 3 TB 3 TB 3 TB 3 TB 3
Lunch - time blocks only necessary if you are selling lunch options.
1:30 PM TB 4 TB 4 TB 4 TB 4 TB 4
2:30 PM TB 5 TB 5 TB 5 TB 5 TB 5
3:30 PM TB 6 TB 6 TB 6 TB 6 TB 6
4:30 PM TB 7 TB 7 TB 7 TB 7 TB 7
Camperships TB 8

This event would be set up with 7 time blocks for classes, plus one or two extras for camperships or other classes or options. Conflicts work by looking at the assigned Time Block and the day(s) of the week and prevents participants from choosing more than one class at the same time on the same day.

Here is a sample schedule:

Class Time Days Class Settings Conflicts
Archery 9:00 - 10:00 AM Mon, Wed, Fri TB 1 - MWF Leatherwork, High Adventure, Swimming (AM)
Leatherwork 9:00 - 10:30 AM Mon, Wed, Fri TB 1, 2 - MWF Archery, High Adventure, Swimming (AM)
High Adventure All Day Every Day TB 1 - 7 - MTWRF Everything
Swimming (AM) 9:00 - 11:00 AM Mon, Wed, Fri TB 1, 2 - MWF Archery, Leatherwork, High Adventure
Swimming (PM) 2:30 - 4:30 PM Mon, Wed, Fri TB 5, 6 - MWF High Adventure
Scuba 9:00 - 12:00 PM Tue, Thu TB 1, 2, 3 - TR High Adventure
Reserve TB 8 for camperships.

Open Scheduling

To set up an open schedule where a class or option does not conflict with anything else, select one Time Block (required) then uncheck "Every Day" and leave the days of the week unchecked. With no days selected, the participant can choose this class without eliminating other options.

Open scheduling is also great for setting up admin-only classes or options - see Camperships and Discounts for more details.

Additionally, you might want to learn about setting up Group Classes or Split Class Schedules.
