Pricing Calculations

Tentaroo supports two different methods of locking-in pricing for events:
- Date of Registration - the date you register a spot/name defines the rate it gets.
- Date Paid in Full - the date you pay in full for a spot defines the rate it gets.
Date of Registration is available for any Event Type, regardless of the Registration Method selected. Date Paid in Full is only available if the event type is set to Just Numbers or Numbers and Names.
Date of Registration
Just Names event rates are always based on the date of registration. You may enable it for any event that uses numbers. This pricing calculation method means the registration fees never increase on a group after they've made the initial registration, and they can pay right away or at the door and be guaranteed the original rate. Be aware that a registration added to the cart during the early rate would still get the early rate even if they checkout during the base rate. You can check on registrations in the cart using the Groups (Excel/CSV) report available on the Event Dashboard and adjust or clear incomplete registrations in order to enforce your rates.
When Rates Increase: Names or spots added after rates increase are automatically assigned the higher rate.
Adjusting Rates: When Date of Registration is enabled, you are able to adjust rates on individual participants or on a number of spots in the registration. These adjustments should be limited to the number of participants at your early, base, or late rates. Other discounts, such as camperships or partial week adults, should be handled through Registration Options.
For cases where you want to assign a common pricing to multiple groups, such as a set discount for meeting a fundraising goal, you can request an additional Pricing Tier which you can turn on for select groups in their profile and then enable for event types where you want to give a different rate to all participants. Set the custom pricing at the event level and all registrants will get the correct rates.

Date Paid in Full
Numbers events default to using Date Paid in Full for calculating pricing. This calculation method allows you to encourage groups to pay early for their spots to lock-in the lowest rates possible, putting more money into circulation to manage your program.
When Rates Increase: On or shortly after the day that your rates are scheduled to go up, click Recalculate Pricing to update all registrations whether they are finalized or in the cart. Any spot not paid for in full by the date set for the event pricing will be updated to the current rate in the system.
Adjusting Rates: Rate adjustments to individual spots or named participant are handled through Registration Options, either for the group (applies to spots) or for the individual (applies to a named participant).
